- Care instructions Before applying the solution, use a brush and eraser to remove stubborn dirt from your suede item. Remember to brush in the direction of the nap, the soft surface of tiny fibers. Always test the cleaning foam on a small, hidden area before applying it. Spray the foam onto the bristles and gently scrub the entire surface in circular motions to ensure even application and avoid excessive pressure. For shoes, use a shoe tree to maintain their shape. Wipe with a Hi-Tech cloth to remove excess foam and water. Allow the item to air dry completely, about 1 hour. Avoid using heat, which can damage the material. After drying, use a soft-bristled brush to restore the nap of the suede by brushing in one direction, following the natural grain of the material. Again
